Indicator Graduated specialists per year
The actual completion of the studies by students from 01.01 till 30.09 and expected from 01.10 till 31.12 of the current calendar year.
Coverage of children by preschool educational institutions
is calculated as a ratio of the total number of pupils of preschool educational institutions to the total number of children aged 1-6 (without children attending first forms organized in schools) multiplied by 100.

Education seekers
pupils, students, cadets, course participants, trainees, postgraduate and postdoctoral students, other persons who obtain education according to any type and any form of obtaining education.
3.
Higher educational institutions
are universities, academies, institutes, conservatories, colleges, technical schools, specialized schools etc.
There are four levels of accreditation in accordance with the status of higher educational institutions:
I - technical schools, specialized schools,
II - colleges and other institutions equivalent to them,
III and IV - academies, universities, institutes, conservatories.
Higher educational institutions provide training of specialists by educational and qualification levels of:
Junior specialist - technical schools, specialized schools, other higher educational institutions of the I accreditation level;
Bachelor - colleges, other higher educational institutions of II-IV accreditation levels;
Specialist, Master - higher education institutions of the III and IV accreditation levels.
The distribution of higher education institutions by the accreditation levels in the academic year 2016/17 is not provided in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" No.1556-VII of July 1, 2014.
4.
Postdoctoral student
is a person enrolled at an institutions of higher education (scientific institution) to obtain a Doctor of Science degree (DSc).
5.
Postgraduate student
is a person enrolled at an institutions of higher education (scientific institution) to receive a PhD / Doctor of Arts degree
6.
Preschool educational institution
is educational institution that ensures the rights of children to preschool education, their physical, mental and spiritual development, social adaptation and readiness to continue training.
7.
Secondary educational institution
is educational institution which main type of activity in the area of general secondary education.
8.
Vocational educational institution
is educational institution that ensures the individuals needs to vocational education (vocation-and-technical), obtaining working professions, specialties, and qualifications in accordance with their interests, skills and health.
