Overview

  • Gross regional product (GRP) of the Lviv region in 2019 amounted to UAH 214,4 billion, or 5,4% of the national figure. Per capita gross regional product accounted for UAH 85,2 thous., which provided the region with the 8th place among the regions of Ukraine.
  • The volume of gross regional product in 2020 compared to 2019 increased by 1,8% according to preliminary data. According to this indicator, Lviv region took the 2nd place among the regions of Ukraine.
  • More than 86% of the structure of gross regional product is gross value added - UAH 185,0 billion. Among the types of economic activity, the largest gross value added was created in industry – 20,0%, trade – 14,6%, in public administration and defense; compulsory social insurance – 9,3%.
