Overview

  • According to the prosecutor's office, in 2021, 17,1 thousand criminal offenses were registered in Lviv region, which is 16,7% less than in 2020.
  • In 2021, 5826 persons were found to have committed a criminal offense, which is 2,6% more than in 2020. Among them, 18,2% were previously on a criminal path, 1,4% were minors, 63,0% were persons aged 18-39.
  • The number of victims of crimes decreased by 28,5% compared to 2020 and in 2021 amounted to 6,8 thousand people. The biggest number (66,5% of the total) was affected from theft and robbery. Almost three quarters of the victims are men.
  • 3993 people were prosecuted by court verdicts (by 15,9% more than in 2020).
